SINGAPORE, 22 October 2009 PurpleClick Media emerged as the Top Winner of Shell LiveWIRE Awards 2009, defeating the other ardent finalists and walked away with the top prize at the award presentation ceremony hosted in the auditorium of Institution for Technical Education (ITE) Dover campus. The biennial awards, jointly organized by energy giant Shell and ITE, in partnership with the ITE Alumni and Singapore Press Holding(SPH)’s Chinese Newspapers Division, recognizes young entrepreneurs who have developed creative and effective business models.
The event’s Guest-Of-Honour, Mr. Lee Yi Shyan, Minister of State for Ministry of Trade and Industry and Ministry of Manpower, said that he was inspired by the entrepreneurial spirit displayed by all the finalists, especially when most of them “started their businesses in the past 11/2 years, right in the midst of the economic downturn”.

Launched in August 2000, the Shell LiveWIRE award in Singapore executes through a partnership with ITE, ITE Alumni Association and the Chinese Newspapers Division of SPH. The award aims to reward and raise the profile of outstanding young entrepreneurs. The prestigious award is now in its 9th year.
